Cover Reveal: Beneath Our Faults by Charity Ferrell

I had the privilege of working with Charity Ferrell on this cover; she picked a great image!

"I might not have pulled the trigger, but I could have stopped the bullet from hitting him."

Daisy Mara had the perfect life: a boyfriend she'd eventually marry, friends she would do anything for, and the beginning of her senior year. All of that changes in an instance when a shot rings through the air, shattering her heart into pieces. Unable to cope with her loss, her parents force her to move thousands of miles away for a fresh, new start. The last thing she expects to see her first night in her new home is her new neighbor, naked and in a very compromising situation.

Keegan Montgomery never had to answer to anyone for anything. His life consisted of partying and frequenting as many beds as he could throw himself into. But under his bad boy facade, he is facing his own internal demons.

Daisy knows she will never belong to another.
Keegan knows he will never love anyone - ever.
But their attraction is undeniable.

Can the tragic ending of a first love end up being the beautiful beginning of another?

Look for this book on Feb 12, 2014!

Cover Reveal: Girl in Love by Caisey Quinn

I've been so privileged to work with Caisey Quinn on the cover of her third book in the Kylie Ryans series, Girl in Love. These books will always have a special place in my heart. The first one launched when I was just a writer and Caisey was a fan of mine who told me about this amazing book she'd written called Girl with Guitar. I told her she had to publish it and to put my money where my mouth was, I designed her a cover (it was supposed to be a temporary cover until she could afford a real designer) and formatted the book.

The book was a bestseller - my design efforts hadn't killed its chances there, and people started coming to me to ask for cover designs and formatting. And the rest is history. I started up E.M. Tippetts Book Designs and Caisey continued to kill it in the rankings and release one bestseller after another. I can't take any credit whatsoever for Caisey's talent, only for spotting how glaringly obvious it was. Being a part of her career launch has been a true privilege.

For the cover of Girl in Love, I can't take too much credit because Caisey had already picked the image and layout. As is often the case with her, it's a matter of noting her talent, helping get it into publishable format, and then getting out of the way ;-)

She's living her dream...

Kylie Ryans is the biggest thing to come out of Nashville since, well, since Trace Corbin. With a hit album and a powerful label behind her, she appears to be the girl who has it all.

But appearances can be deceiving.

Fresh out of rehab, Trace Corbin is ready to take on the world. Just not the girl he walked away from. Because if there's one thing he knows for certain, it's that the people you love are the ones who have the power to destroy you.

As their worlds collide, they'll have to make the ultimate choice. Follow their dreams, or give it all up for love.

They say love conquers all, but for Kylie and Trace, it just might wreck everything they've worked for.

Cover Reveal: Long After by Cheryl McIntyre

Cheryl is the one who found this image, so I can't take credit for that. Her original idea was to have him all on the front cover (and he was faced the other way) and have someone else on the back cover. I suggested making him the full wrap, and that's what we went with.

For Annie Phillips, there is a right way to do things and everything has a place. College and her flawless GPA are top priority, as is planning her perfect future. Anything less than perfection is unacceptable. So when she meets Loden Guiles, she believes she has finally found her perfect happily-ever-after.

Chase Malloy is funny, loyal, and an all around nice guy. He’s also sloppy, tattooed, and undirected. All Chase wants to do is survive college, hang out with friends, and make music. Knowing his best friend’s step-sister since they were fourteen, Annie and he have always had a love-hate relationship. The last thing Chase expects is to fall for Annie, but he knows he’ll never live up to her idea of the perfect man.

On the outside, Annie and Loden’s relationship appears picture perfect. But behind closed doors, Annie quickly realizes Loden isn’t the man he pretends to be. Every time her not so well laid plans crumble, and Loden proves to be not so Mr. Right, Chase is there to pick her up and brush her off. Will she realize the perfection she’s been searching for has been in front of her all this time?

*Long After is a companion novel to Sometimes Never and Before Now. Many of the same characters appear in Chase and Annie's story. However, it can be read as a stand-alone book.

**This is a new adult novel. Due to harsh language, sexual situations, and violence, this book is recommended for 17+.

Win a SIGNED copy of Wicked Thing by Angeline Kace

This is a book we designed inside and out. We'll post pics of the interior in the next few days! Here is the cover:

**Due to content, this book is not suitable for readers under the age of 18.**

Carmyn Rafferty witnessed the aftermath of her mother's affair. She learned at a young age not to trust anyone. Especially not your spouse. So she's planned. She's planned every detail of her life: who her husband will be, what their careers will be, what their lives will be like. All to avoid the pain of infidelity.

Dallas Brown lives a life all his own. He doesn't do relationships, he doesn't care what anyone thinks of him, and he doesn't live up to anyone's expectations but his own.

When Carmyn's fiancé cheats on her, it sends her into a whirlwind of one-night stands with the most infamous player on campus. She can't seem to stay away from this tough guy and his dangerous motorcycle. Everything about him is the complete opposite of who she'd planned to fall in love with: tattoos, dark stubble along his jawline, and hair that brushes his shoulders.

As Dallas and Carmyn begin to fall deeper and deeper into each other, they learn that love can truly be a wicked, wicked thing.

Cover Reveal! A Risk Worth Taking by Heather Hildenbrand

I've had the privilege of working with Heather Hildenbrand on the cover of her upcoming novel, A Risk Worth Taking! This book will be out in October.

When 22-year-old Summer Stafford’s parents split halfway through her senior year at college, Summer’s world is rocked. Everything she thought she knew—heck, everything she thought she wanted for her own life—feels like a lie. The truth is love is a risk. And the true kind, the kind that lasts, might even be a fairy tale.

Reeling from the divorce, Summer derails her own future by breaking up with her parent-approved boyfriend and giving up her lifelong plans for a big-city career. She moves back home, business degree in hand. Dad needs her to fill the gaps her mother left behind; Summer needs to find who she is outside of the cookie-cutter life that failed so miserably for her parents.

Ford O’Neal’s future involves one person: himself. He doesn’t have a permanent address and he definitely doesn’t commit. To a place or a person. Raised by hippies, he plans just far enough ahead to secure his next stop, this one landing him at a work-study program at Heritage Plantation where he can grow his own herbal and medicinal creations.

Summer is gorgeous and smart and fun to be with, the perfect way to pass five months. It won’t be love—Ford’s got too many things to accomplish, too many places to go, before he settles down. Yet Summer pulls him in, challenging him to rethink his own philosophy.

When Ford’s five months are up, each of them must decide if love is really worth the risk.

About the Author

Heather Hildenbrand was born and raised in a small town in northern Virginia where she was homeschooled through high school. She now lives in coastal VA, a few miles from the Atlantic Ocean, with her two adorable children. She works from home, part time, as a property manager and when she's not furiously pounding at the keyboard, or staring off into space whilst plotting a new story, she's lying on the beach, soaking in those delicious, pre-cancerous rays.

Heather loves Mexican food, hates socks with sandals, and if her house was on fire, the one thing she'd grab is her DVR player.

Heather is a co-founder of Accendo Press, a publishing group she operates with fellow authors: Angeline Kace and Jennifer Sommersby. Accendo (a-CH-endo), A Latin word, means “to kindle, illuminate, inflame, or set fire.” This is something Accendo strives to do inside a reader’s imagination with every title released. Cover reveal: Beautifully Awake by Riley Mackenzie

I've had the honor of designing the cover for Riley Mackenzie's debut novel, Beautifully Awake! It's been a lot of fun to work with these two authors to get the look and feel they wanted.

Diagnosis: Sleep-running

Treatment: Truth

Prognosis: Beautifully Awake

Lili Porter hates the rain. Bad things happen in the rain. As a small town social worker dedicated to protecting children, she is forced to start over to escape her rural disaster. Determined to follow her father’s advice—head up and chin high—Lili finds herself in a new city, taking on a new system, this time healthcare. In doing so, she gets something she never expected, an intimate behind-the-scenes look at life in the hospital.

Lili learns that a surgeon’s hands have the power to heal more than physical wounds. And a prescription for truth can cure three years of sleep running and leave you beautifully awake.

Excerpt

“Baby, I want to sleep with you.” His voice softened. “This isn’t about sex. This is about sleeping ... with you ... in our bed, just sleeping, no talking. Just silence, me listening to your soft breaths. That’s truth.” And once again this man had completely disarmed me with words alone. “See you soon, baby.”

Silence filled my ear. I turned and dropped my phone on the bed.

"You're not going to tell him, huh?" Sierra raised her eyebrows and frowned.

"I don't know, but I'm definitely not ready tonight."

"This thing with Dr. Hot-as-Balls is serious, isn't it?"

I couldn't help but nod. My gut told me she wasn't wrong.

Cover Re-Reveal: Paint Me True by E.M. Tippetts

I am, by far, the worst client to I ever have to design for. Designing for yourself isn't natural, in my opinion! Having said that, I have this book that's always sold slowly but steadily that I wanted to revamp. It was the first book I ever indie published, and here's the new cover, designed by yours truly.

Synopsis:

Eliza Dunmar is about to turn thirty-one and fears her best days are behind her. As a Latter-day Saint, she'll soon be too old to attend church in a singles ward, her career as a painter is no longer considered cool, and she feels too old to use the excuse that she's "just starting out" to explain why she still can't pay the bills. The only man interested in her is a scruffy, video game addicted nerd who is the first to admit that they are all wrong for each other.

When her beloved Aunt Nora calls from England and begs her to visit, Eliza leaps at the chance. Even better? Nora had the perfect romance with her late husband and is eager to share the tale. As Eliza sets out to immortalize this courtship in a series of paintings, she learns a lesson that will change her outlook on life and love forevermore.

About the Author:

That'd be me. I'm Emily Mah Tippetts and I write romance and do book cover and interior design as Paint Me True was my first indie published novel, and my second ever romance novel.

E.M. Tippetts. A devout Latter-day Saint, I got my start in romance writing LDS (Mormon) chick lit.

These days I live in New Mexico with my family. I am about to have my eyes lasered, so this cartoon picture of me will soon be out of date. Hence I use it here, for old times sake ;-)

Cover Reveal: Two Roads by L.M. Augustine

I had the privilege of designing this cover for L.M. Augustine, one of my very first clients (you can imagine how flattered I was when he came to me.) I'll also be doing the paperback interior and the ebook, and I'm really looking forward to it!

Two Roads by L.M. Augustine

Release date: August 26th, 2013

Category/Genre: New Adult Romance

Blurb:

The only person poetry-loving Cali Monroe hates more than herself is Logan Waters, the geeky kid who lives in the dorm building next to hers.

Ever since Cali's parents told her she would amount to nothing, she has felt entirely inadequate. Friendless and alone, she takes on the mean girl role in hopes it will make her feel better--and Logan serves as the perfect target. He infuriates her with his obnoxiously long lashes, his all too perfect dimpled smile, and his complete lack of personality outside of his intelligence. It doesn't hurt that he's part of the reason her brother is dead, either. So Cali hates him, and he returns the favor. Thus, their prank-filled, insult-driven rivalry is born, and torturing Logan quickly becomes the highlight of her life.

But when Cali's parents set them up on a blind date, she begins to realize Logan might not be as boring as she always thought. He shares her love of poetry, takes a sadistic pleasure in making fun of crepes, and he makes her blush when he calls her smile pretty.

And hey, maybe those long lashes of his aren't that obnoxious after all...

Back Cover and Spine of Love Love by Beth Michele

Please note, I did not design the front cover! Only the spine and back cover to compliment the ebook cover that Beth Michele's husband designed for her.
